On Tuesday, March 18, former St. Petersburg Catholic High School standout Avery Thomas’ current college team, the Fort Valley State Wildcats, lost 9-6 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Georgia Southwestern State Hurricanes.

The game took place at Lady Canes Softball Field. This was their second matchup against the Hurricanes this season.

The Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at 1 p.m. at Cougar Softball Field against Columbus State Cougars.
