City hosts inaugural ‘Build St. Pete’ trade show for construction firms

The City of St. Petersburg is organizing the inaugural “Build St. Pete” Construction Trade Show, scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at The Coliseum located at 535 4th Ave. N. This event aims to connect small construction businesses with resources and contracting opportunities within the local area.

This free trade show offers businesses of all sizes a platform to showcase their services, meet potential buyers from various agencies, network with industry leaders, and explore partnership opportunities. Attendees will have the chance to engage in matchmaking sessions with businesses and local agencies and attend a panel discussion on achieving success in construction. The panel will be moderated by Carl Lavender, the City’s Chief Equity Officer.

“The Office of Supplier Diversity is excited to host ‘Build St. Pete.’ We are committed to providing a platform for businesses of all sizes to connect with industry leaders, showcase their expertise, and contribute to the growth and innovation of the construction sector,” said Kourey Hendryx-Bell, Office of Supplier Diversity Manager.

Sponsored by RIC-MAN Construction Florida, Inc., this event is hosted by the City of St. Petersburg’s Office of Supplier Diversity. The office works towards ensuring fair business opportunities and equity in contracts for local enterprises aiming to work with the city.
