City seeks funds for Bartlett Lake dredging project

On or about September 9, 2024, the City of St. Petersburg plans to request the release of Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation funds from the Florida Department of Commerce. These funds are intended for a project named Bartlett Lake Improvements Project. The initiative aims to perform maintenance dredging to a depth of five feet below Mean Low Water in order to remove sediment that has accumulated due to years of stormwater deposition within Bartlett Lake.

The city is inviting public comments on this project until September 5, 2024.
