Doris Quainoo advanced to the 100-meter hurdles quarterfinals with a time of 13.26, finishing in 24th place on May 28 as the University of South Florida women’s track and field team competed at the NCAA East First Rounds at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track and Field Facility in Lexington, Kentucky.
Quainoo’s performance qualified her for the next round, as confirmed by a social media post from USF XCTF. Esteisy Salas Lozano also competed, recording a shot put mark of 15.23 meters to place 37th.
The competition continues with Jaleel Croal, Joshua Crum, Darian Mills, Kelsey Singleton, and both the men’s 4×100-meter and 4×400-meter relay teams aiming to secure spots in the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The first race is scheduled for Friday at 5:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
Erik Jenkins is serving his seventh season as head coach for USF track and field. The Bulls’ men’s 4×400-meter relay squad—Devontie Archer, Alexavier Monfries, Corey Ottey and Gabriel Moronta—claimed a national title with a program-record time of 3:00.42 at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships and earned a top-15 finish as a team last season. Nine Bulls athletes earned All-America honors this past year: Kobe Babin, Devontie Archer, Alexavier Monfries, Corey Ottey, Gabriel Moronta, Shomari Pettigrew, Jaleel Croal, Abdul-Rasheed Saminu and Vincent Ugwoke.
