The City of St. Petersburg announced on June 1 that it will partner with the Enoch Davis Advisory Council to host the Bourbon Street BBQ & Jazz event on Sunday, June 7, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Enoch Davis Center, located at 1111 18th Ave. S. Registration is required for this ticketed event, which costs $30 per person.
The event is held in celebration of Black Music Month and will feature a performance by the Ashwood Jazz Project. The city said the group will bring smooth sounds and high-energy rhythms to attendees. According to organizers, Black Music Month is celebrated each June and highlights “the significant influence Black artists have played in shaping American music and culture.” The month honors creativity, innovation, and lasting impact across genres such as jazz, blues, gospel, and R&B.
