Florida Mortuary Funeral & Cremation Services announced on May 27 that it will host its first annual Juneteenth Community Celebration on Friday, June 19. The event is scheduled from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home’s updated facility and is open to families and friends in the community.

The celebration will feature live DJ entertainment, food trucks, children’s activities, local vendors, and tours of the newly renovated space. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for donation; for every two items donated, guests will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes.

Organizers say the event aims to honor community, culture, and togetherness while giving back through charitable collections. The public is invited to join in celebrating Juneteenth with an afternoon focused on connection and support.

The St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce serves as a primary organization for the region’s business community by fostering business success, hosting events, backing community efforts that aid residents, promoting economic growth and vitality, extending resources such as membership benefits and leadership training, and driving prosperity across St. Petersburg, according to the official website.

In addition to supporting local businesses since its key name change in 1920 that enhanced its status as a leading business entity, the Chamber continues its mission of supporting initiatives like this Juneteenth event.
