Greenlane, a Tampa-based fast-casual salad restaurant, announced on June 3 plans to open a new location in Pinellas Park. The company has filed redevelopment plans with the Southwest Florida Water Management District for the former Checkers property at 6401 Park Boulevard, where it intends to demolish the existing building and construct a new 964-square-foot drive-through restaurant. The previous Checkers location closed in late 2024.

Greenlane offers scratch-made salads and wraps, with customizable options and signature menu items such as the Ginger Sesame Crunch and Golden Greek. All salads are priced between $6.99 and $8.99. The brand’s mission is to provide nutritious alternatives to traditional fast food for less than $10, without using seed oils, artificial ingredients, or pre-packaged dressings.

Customers can choose from several signature salads or create their own combinations. Signature offerings include the Ginger Sesame Crunch—romaine lettuce topped with shredded rainbow carrots, oranges, red cabbage, honey cashews, cilantro, and sesame ginger dressing—and the Golden Greek with grape tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, kalamata olives, red onion, pepperoncini peppers, and red wine vinaigrette on romaine lettuce.

The company was founded by Christopher Burch of Burch Creative Capital and is backed by NFL player Rob Gronkowski. Greenlane opened its first location in Tampa in 2023 at 4495 West Gandy Boulevard before expanding throughout the Tampa Bay area. In 2024 it opened its first St. Petersburg location at 8001 4th Street North; currently it operates five locations across Florida.

For this project in Pinellas Park, Greenlane is working with architect Frey-Moss Structures of Georgia; landscape architect Evergreen Design Group of Boca Raton; and engineering firm Dynamic Engineering Consultants of Delray Beach. A construction timeline was not included in the submitted application.
