Hannah Taylor of Eckerd College softball was named the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season, according to a league announcement on Mar. 30.
Taylor’s recognition comes after her performance in a three-game sweep over Barry, where she went 5-for-7 at bat with a .714 average and collected 10 runs batted in. In the first game, she drove in eight runs and hit a grand slam. Throughout the series, Taylor also recorded three doubles, drew five walks including one intentional walk, stole a base, and scored four runs. She tied Eckerd’s single-season record with her seventeenth double.
Eckerd College Tritons participates in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports such as basketball, golf, sailing, soccer, tennis, volleyball, softball, rowing and cross country as part of the Sunshine State Conference according to the official website.
