Heavy rains cause wastewater discharges in St. Petersburg

Due to heavy rains on Tuesday night, wastewater discharges occurred from manholes at two locations.

At 22nd Ave. N. and 58th St. N., 1,000 gallons of wastewater were discharged into nearby ditches. This discharge has now ceased.

Meanwhile, at 36th Ave. N. and 66th Way N., 2,000 gallons of wastewater have been released into storm drains leading to Joe’s Creek. Efforts are ongoing to halt this discharge.
