On June 6, 2024, it was announced that the northbound I-275 entrance ramp from eastbound 22nd Ave. S. will close nightly on Monday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 11. The closures will occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.

During these temporary nighttime ramp closures, motorists will be directed to turn north onto 31st St. S., proceed east onto 15th Ave. S., head north onto 28th St. S., and then enter the interstate using the northbound I-275 entrance ramp.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should expect delays and congestion during this detour.

These closures are part of the I-275 concrete pavement repair project spanning from 54th Ave. S. to 5th Ave. S. in Pinellas County. Construction activities are expected to conclude in early 2026.
