South Florida announced on May 27 the kickoff times for six of its football games for the upcoming season, with all but one scheduled to take place in primetime.
The Bulls will open their season at Raymond James Stadium against FIU on September 5 at 7 p.m., airing on ESPN+. Another home game against Delaware State is set for September 19, also at 7 p.m. and broadcast by ESPN+. The team’s first road game will be on September 12 at Army, kicking off at noon on CBS Sports Network. Three midweek matchups are also slated for primetime: October 8 at UTSA (7:30 p.m. on ESPN or ESPN2), November 6 versus East Carolina (7:30 p.m. on ESPN2), and November 12 against Memphis (8 p.m. on ESPN or ESPN2). The regular season finale versus Tulane will be played either Friday, November 27 or Saturday, November 28, with a start time of noon or 3:30 p.m., to be determined no later than October 11.
Additional kickoff times and network details will be released later. The full schedule includes other contests such as Bowling Green, Temple, Kent State, UAB, FAU and more.
The South Florida football program began play in 1997 and is entering its thirtieth season in 2026. In the previous year, the Bulls finished with a record of nine wins and four losses, made their third consecutive bowl appearance, achieved their first College Football Playoff ranking appearance in program history, and were ranked four times during the weekly Associated Press Top 25 poll. Construction was completed in late 2023 on a $22-million Indoor Performance Facility; work continues toward an on-campus stadium and operations center targeted for completion by 2027.
Over its history, South Florida has recorded eighteen winning seasons with thirty players selected in the NFL Draft. The team has appeared thirteen times in bowl games—going eight wins to five losses—and logged back-to-back ten-win seasons during both the historic runs of the mid-2010s when it reached as high as No. 2 nationally according to AP rankings during one campaign.
University of South Florida Athletics participates in the American Athletic Conference and is linked to updated sports venues within its Athletics District; it has produced Olympians representing multiple countries while earning numerous conference titles and national championships, according to the official website.
