The City of St. Petersburg is organizing an event titled “Her Story, Our Future: Women Leading the Way” to honor Women’s History Month. Scheduled for March 26 at 1 p.m., the event will take place at the Sunshine Senior Center and is open to the public without charge.

The gathering aims to highlight five women from St. Petersburg who have made notable contributions in their fields. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to these speakers share their personal experiences and insights, emphasizing the role of women in shaping the community.

The list of speakers includes Lisset Hanewicz, Vice-Chair of City Council for District 4; Brandi Gabbard, a City Council Member representing District 2; Deborah Figgs-Sanders, another City Council Member from District 5; Amber Boulding, Emergency Management Manager with St. Petersburg Fire Rescue; and Barbara Stalbird, Parks & Field Operations Superintendent for the city’s Parks & Recreation Department.
