The City of St. Petersburg is organizing two school supply drives to assist local students in preparation for the upcoming academic year. Donations are being accepted at Bay Vista Recreation Center until July 31 and at St. Pete Greenhouse until August 2.

Suggested items for donation include backpacks, folders, binders, composition notebooks, notebook paper, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks, rulers, and scissors.

Bay Vista Recreation Center is gathering new supplies specifically for students entering grades K-8. Contributions can be made at the center located at 7000 4th St. S., from Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., up to Wednesday, July 31.

The Greenhouse is accepting donations for all St. Pete students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. Supplies can be dropped off at The Greenhouse situated at 440 2nd Ave. N., until Friday, August 2.

Donated supplies will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis during the Bounce Back to School event presented by Saturday Shoppes on Saturday, August 3 at Tropicana Field Lot 1 from 4-8 p.m.
