The City of St. Petersburg has announced the establishment of three temporary Comfort and Charging Stations to support residents affected by Hurricane Helen and Milton. These stations are intended to provide essential supplies and a place for residents to charge their devices while power restoration efforts continue in the area.
The designated locations for these stations are Frank Pierce Recreation Center at 2000 7th St. S, Childs Park Recreation Center at 4301 13th Ave. S, and Roberts Recreation Center at 1246 50th Ave. N. The operating hours for these facilities are Saturday, October 12, from noon to 6 p.m., and Sunday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Residents visiting these centers will have access to bottled water, battery packs, clean-up kits, storage bins, and tarps as long as supplies last. “Residents are encouraged to visit these stations for any immediate needs,” stated city officials.
