St. Petersburg Releases Trash & Recycling Collection Calendar and Schedule for 2024

St. Petersburg utility customers can now access the Trash & Recycling Collection Calendar and Schedule for the year 2024. The city has made it convenient for residents to find their collection zone and download the calendar for reference throughout the year.

According to the calendar, each collection zone is assigned a specific color code. Zone A1 is designated as Grey, Zone B2 as Yellow, Zone A3 as Red, Zone B4 as Green, Zone A5 as Purple, Zone B6 as Orange, Zone A7 as Pink, and Zone B8 as Blue.

For residents who did not receive a calendar but would like to have one, they can contact Sanitation Customer Service at 727-893-7838.

In addition to the regular collection schedule, the calendar also provides information about changes in collection days due to holidays. The following holidays will affect the collection schedule in 2024:

– New Year’s Day (January 1): Monday collections will be made on Tuesday. Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collections remain the same.

– Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 15): Monday collections will be made on Tuesday. Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collections remain the same.

– Presidents’ Day (February 19): Monday collections will be made on Tuesday. Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collections remain the same.

– Memorial Day (May 27): Monday collections will be made on Tuesday. Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collections remain the same.

– Juneteenth (June 19): All collections will remain the same.

– Independence Day (July 4): Monday, Tuesday, and Friday collections remain the same. Thursday collections will be made on Wednesday.

– Labor Day (September 2): Monday collections will be made on Tuesday. Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collections remain the same.

– Veteran’s Day (November 11): Monday collections will be made on Tuesday. Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collections remain the same.

– Thanksgiving Day (November 28): Monday, Tuesday, and Friday collections remain the same. Thursday collections will be made on Wednesday.

– Christmas Day (December 25): All collections will remain the same.

– New Year’s Day (January 1, 2025): All collections will remain the same.

Residents are reminded that the brush sites will be closed on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
