The City of St. Petersburg has announced its intention to seek financial support from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Florida Division of Emergency Management. The city aims to secure a Flood Mitigation Assistance Program Grant.
According to the announcement, public comments on this initiative will be accepted for 30 days starting from August 6, 2024.
