The City of St. Petersburg has announced its pursuit of funding through the Flood Mitigation Assistance Program Grant. The city is seeking financial support from both the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Florida Division of Emergency Management to aid in flood mitigation efforts.

According to a public notice issued on March 26, 2025, residents and stakeholders are invited to provide their input. The period for public comment will remain open for 30 days following the release of this notice.

The initiative aims to secure necessary resources to address flood-related challenges within the community, enhancing safety and resilience against future flooding events.
