The City of St. Petersburg is inviting residents to participate in several boards and committees. The opportunities available are as follows:

The Advisory Commission on Aging has 15 members who support and advocate for programs that elevate the quality of life for St. Petersburg’s senior citizens. Their vision is a community where seniors can live safely and independently with dignity. Further details are available at www.stpete.org/ACA.

The Arts Advisory Committee (AAC) aims to support and encourage a wide range of artistic and cultural activities in the city. The committee works to benefit the citizens by fostering new arts and cultural expressions and preserving the city’s multicultural nature. More information can be found at www.stpete.org/AAC.

The Code Enforcement Board is responsible for conducting hearings related to the enforcement of city codes or ordinances. Each hearing concludes with the issuance of findings and legal conclusions. Visit www.stpete.org/CEB for more details.

The Committee to Advocate for Persons with Impairments (CAPI), appointed by the Mayor with City Council’s consent, advises on issues concerning people with disabilities and ensures their full participation in the city’s programs and services. The Consolidated Plan Application Review Committee reviews funding applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), making recommendations to the full City Council.
