Diocese Of St. Petersburg issued the following announcement on May 03.
An extraordinary exhibit of relics of the Saints will visit Tampa Bay this May. Father Carlos Martins, a Vatican-appointed expert on relics, will be here with a Vatican collection of over 160 relics, some as old as 2,000 years. The relics will be shown at two churches in our diocese and it’s FREE to the public.
The supreme highlight is some of the largest remaining fragments of Wood from the True Cross (the Cross upon which Our Lord died) and a piece of the Veil worn by the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Among the other treasures, will be relics of St. Joseph, St. Maria Goretti, St. John the Baptist, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Thomas Aquinas, and St. Faustina Kowalska.
