City Of St. Pete Beach recently issued the following announcement.
Join us as we celebrate an event a quarter century in the making—the unearthing and opening of a time capsule buried in 1997.
The City interred a six-foot long, 11-inches wide time capsule in front of (then) police headquarters on Boca Ciega Drive as part of the 40th birthday celebration. It was scheduled to be opened 25 years later in 2022.
Community Leaders and residents of St. Pete Beach will be speaking at 11:05am with a champagne toast to 65 years at 11:30am.
