Catholic Diocese Of St. Petersburg issued the following announcement on Aug. 03.
Please join us in praying for Louis, Alex, John Paul and Thuan our NEW seminarians who will be attending seminary at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary and Saint Joseph Abbey and Seminary College This week they joined 11 other men from our diocese who are part of formation for Convocation, a time for prayer and fellowship before heading out to school.
This was a great opportunity for our seminarians to grow in fraternity by having fun, praying together and getting to know each other.
Alex's home parish is Christ the King Catholic Church - Tampa, FL, Thuan is from Giáo Xứ Các Thánh Tử Đạo Việt Nam Gp. St. Petersburg, Florida, Louis is from St. Raphael Catholic Church and John Paul's home parish is Catholic Student Center at USF.

Prayer for Seminarians
Father,
Thank You for the generosity of our seminarians. Safeguard them as they prepare for the priesthood.
Keep all evil far from them, so they may become strong Christian men who are faithful to prayer, diligent in their studies, open to spiritual direction and docile to all aspects of seminary formation.
Above all, enflame their hearts with love so they will be ardent and gentle shepherds for Your Church. And, if is Your will and for Your Glory they may become Holy Priests. We make this prayer through the great High Priest, Jesus Christ our Lord.
