City Of Gulfport issued the following announcement on Dec. 31.
NEW YEAR’S EVE FIREWORKS NOT TAKING PLACE IN GULFPORT
The City of Gulfport will not be hosting New Year’s Eve fireworks this year but that doesn’t mean you can’t catch a spectacular show in one of our neighboring Cities. The City of Clearwater, Treasure Island and St. Petersburg will all be putting on a bright display in the midnight sky.
• Clearwater Beach, MidnightBest viewing location: Watch from all along Clearwater Beach, especially near the southern end. Note that the fireworks will be set off from the north end of Sand Key, which will be closed to the public.
• Treasure Island, MidnightBest viewing location: On the beach near Gulf front Park, 10400 Gulf Blvd. Just south of the Treasure Island Causeway.
• St. Petersburg, MidnightBest viewing location: Watch fireworks from the St. Pete Pier or anywhere else along the downtown St. Pete waterfront.
