Traditions on Tyrone, a new luxury event center, will officially open its doors on June 11 at the former Harold Seltzer’s Steakhouse location in St. Petersburg, according to a May 29 announcement. The venue is located at 3500 Tyrone Blvd North and has undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation to transform it into a modern facility for weddings, corporate events, and community gatherings.

Christopher Halsey, Location Manager of Traditions on Tyrone, said, “We recognized the deep sentimental value this building holds for the people of St. Petersburg. Our goal was to preserve that welcoming spirit while elevating the space into a world-class venue. Whether it’s a dream wedding, a corporate gala, or an intimate family milestone, we are honored to help our guests create new traditions here.”

The renovated property features several distinct spaces: The Grande Orchid and The Royal Palm each seat 120 guests; The Orange Blossom seats 60; The Seltzer Legacy Tavern accommodates 45; and Pelican’s Landing outdoor lounge can host up to 50 people. Each area offers modern finishes and customizable amenities designed for flexible event planning.

A notable feature is the Seltzer Legacy Tavern with its restored wooden bar and speakeasy-inspired ambiance. Additionally, Pelican’s Landing provides an outdoor setting for socializing before or after events. Traditions on Tyrone will also retain the well-known cow mascot from previous years; local artist repainting is scheduled for June 2–3, followed by a community naming contest.

Halsey said, “Nothing brings people together better than food and hospitality.” Traditions on Tyrone has partnered with local caterers for tailored dining experiences and plans to continue hosting community holiday dinners along with ticketed themed events featuring live music and local artists.

The venue is now accepting bookings for events in 2026 and 2027. For more information or booking inquiries, interested parties can visit eventsbytraditions.com or call 727-954-7777.

The St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce serves as the primary business organization in the region by fostering business success through advocacy efforts, leadership training programs, and public service initiatives such as hosting community events that aid residents across St. Petersburg—all aimed at promoting economic growth and vitality, according to the official website.
