On August 5, 2024, an incident occurred at the Northeast Water Reclamation Facility where approximately 3,000 gallons of partially-treated wastewater was discharged. This event was caused by a temporarily malfunctioning isolation valve as a result of Hurricane Debby. Fortunately, the water was contained on site and did not affect any surface waters. The facility has since reset the valve, which is now functioning properly.
