On July 22, 2024, an incident occurred at the Southwest Water Reclamation Facility involving the discharge of approximately 38,400 gallons of partially-treated wastewater. The facility managed to contain the discharge on site, and subsequent actions were taken to clean and sanitize the affected area.

The notification was issued on July 23, 2024, informing relevant parties about the situation.
