St. Petersburg Catholic High School issued the following announcement on Feb. 20.
We are very thrilled to announce an exciting project beginning on campus at St. Petersburg Catholic High School! Upon the receipt of two confirmed pledges, we will break ground this summer on the re-construction of the new Learning Commons, which will take the place of our current Media Center!! This building will be situated as the center of our campus and house several studio-style classrooms, specifically designed for collaborative learning. We firmly believe that this building will help unite our campus and provide the space necessary for 21st century learning.
All of this is possible because of our generous donors and the support we have received from the Diocese of St. Petersburg. Bishop Gregory Parkes has granted SPCHS a matching gift of $500,000, which has been integral to making our new Learning Commons ready for the Fall of 2020. Last year’s raise the paddle at our Annual Gala also pushed this project towards the finish line!! We sincerely thank everyone who helped make this vision a reality; we could not have done this without YOU!
There is also an opportunity to support our school again this year by attending the Gala on March 7th! Tickets are available for purchase @ spchs.org/gala
Please keep St. Petersburg Catholic High School in your prayers as we continue to grow and move forward as a school community. It is an exciting time to be a Baron!
