Good Afternoon Bay Vista Families,
A parent reached out to share that there is a 50% off sale going on at The Children’s Place store both online and in-store. Some parents have shared that The Children’s Place clothes tend to run small, so don’t forget to account for that and shrinkage with laundering.
The Tyrone store’s sale will run for the next several weeks. Polos are between $5.49 and $6.49 (girls with ruffles on the collar are the $6+ ones), collared dresses are $9.97 and skorts/shorts are $8.47. They also have FREE shipping online!
Don’t forget Walmart, Old Navy, and Target also carry uniform options. Another parent shared the boy’s polo shirts at Walmart are $4.95!
Also, several people have inquired about Bay Vista t-shirts. The Bay Vista PTA will have t-shirts available for purchase at the Meet the Teacher event on Monday, August 9th, as well as all General PTA events throughout the year. There will also be availability to order Bay Vista t-shirts online between August 2-15 (more to follow). Bay Vista t-shirts may be worn any day of the week with our new uniform policy.

AUGUST & SEPTEMBER MEETING DATES-one meeting option each month
As a reminder, there is only one meeting option in the month of August. There is also only one meeting option in the month of September. These two meetings are required by all families. The August and September meetings are to ensure we are setting the foundation for a successful year in our fundamental program.
August 16th Required PTA General Meeting & Open House (K-5) in classrooms
Grades K-2 5:30-6:30
Grades 3-5 6:45-7:45
September 13th, 6:00 p.m., Required PTA General Membership Meeting
Location: Lakewood High School
Focus: Fundamental Guidelines/Requirements & Alternate Meeting Credit Guidelines shared by staff, PTA, and IAC members
Meet-the-Teacher Dates/Times – August 9th
Families are invited to meet their 2021/22 classroom teacher on August 9th. The Meet-the-Teacher event will be in-person at the times indicated below. This is an informal event to stop by and see your student’s classroom and meet the teacher.
Kindergarten & 1st Grade - 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
2nd & 3rd Grades - 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
4th & 5th Grades - 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
