Clearview Adult Education Center issued the following announcement on Oct. 19.
Student of the Week!
I would like to nominate Bre’Shan Sanders for Adult High School Student of the Week for October. Bre’Shan started with us in June but struggled at first to find a balance to be able to handle work, a baby, and school. She returned to class in the beginning of September and she was ready to do whatever it took to get her diploma. She proved that she had a new found determination to succeed – she attended class at least three times a week and was so extremely focused during the entire time, and even asked for extra work to do at home in between.
She studied and prepared for almost the entire month of September and then took the FSA ELA Exam toward the end of the month. Although her official scores will not be back until mid-December, she did very well on the practice material and I am confident her hard work will pay off. Furthermore, after Bre took the FSA, she was ready to practice for the October ACT. With less than two weeks until the test date, Bre was eager to take an ACT Reading practice test. On her first attempt, she well exceeded the passing score needed of a 19. She took three more tests within the time leading up to the official test day and passed all of those as well! Again, her official scores will not be released until the end of October, but I am very confident that Bre aced the ACT Reading, too!
She has worked so hard in the short time she has been at Clearview, and she has overcome many obstacles along the way. I couldn’t be more proud of her incredible work ethic and look forward to the return of her test scores!
