Senior Jarais Fontaine wants to talk to you about his gas. (Not that kind of gas!) The student chapter of the American Chemical Society at Eckerd College created this video for the American Chemical Society to depict an engaging chemical demonstration for use in global outreach and education. Dr. Lisa Bonner, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, and her students explain what exactly happens when you drop candy into a diet soda, and why fun demos are actually important science!
