St. Pete Standard

Due to current drought conditions, the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) has extended the Phase I Water Shortage Order for Pinellas County through September 1, 2024. The initial order was enacted in November 2023 following significantly below-normal rainfall, reduced river levels, and water supply concerns.

As a reminder, one-day-per-week watering restrictions remain in effect for City of St. Petersburg utility customers. This restriction applies to properties using potable (City) water, water from private wells, or private connections to surface water sources such as lakes and ponds. Residents are advised to adjust their irrigation timers accordingly as Restriction Enforcement Activities will continue to be enhanced. Aggressive water shortage actions may become necessary if conditions worsen.

The one-day-per-week watering restrictions are outlined below:

- Monday: Potable (City) Water - Even

- Tuesday: Potable (City) Water - Odd

- Wednesday: Private Well or Surface Water - Even

- Thursday: Private Well or Surface Water - Odd

- Friday: Reclaimed Water (voluntary) - Even

- Saturday: Reclaimed Water (voluntary) - Odd

- Sunday: Reclaimed Water (voluntary) - Even/Odd

City of St. Petersburg utility customers are asked to ensure all water systems are operating efficiently and adjusted to the once-weekly watering schedule.

Residents outside of city limits or those who do not receive their water from the city should verify their watering days and restrictions with their respective water suppliers. It is important to note that the watering schedule for St. Pete may differ from that of Pinellas County.
