Central Avenue, between 2nd and 3rd Streets, will face periodic closures over the coming weeks due to ongoing work at Art House, located at 275 1st Ave. S. The construction activities are scheduled to begin on Monday, September 30th and will occur from Monday to Thursday between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., continuing for approximately eight weeks.
The project will necessitate both road and sidewalk closures on Central Avenue within the specified section. Efforts have been made to minimize disruptions for local businesses and during peak weekend times.
In addition to the primary closure on Central Avenue, there will be intermittent lane closures on 1st Avenue South, though these will not impact sidewalks, parking spaces, or bike lanes. Similarly, intermittent lane closures are expected on 3rd Street North without affecting sidewalks or parking.
On two occasions during this period, Central Avenue will require complete closure; however, the north sidewalk will remain accessible.
