The City of St. Petersburg has announced a variety of holiday events for the 2024 season, offering activities that cater to all ages and interests. The festivities kick off with the 96th Annual Santa Parade and Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 30 at 6:30 p.m., taking place downtown from Bayshore Drive to North Straub Park.
Among other planned events is Snowfest, scheduled for Saturday, December 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in North Straub Park. Additionally, Holiday Movies in the Park will be held on several dates throughout December at various locations including Huggins-Stengel Field and Vinoy Park.
For those who enjoy interactive experiences, there is the Gingerbread Building Contest on December 14 at the West Community Library at SPC-Gibbs Campus. Participants can choose between two timeslots for this event.
Children can look forward to meeting Santa in North Straub Park from December 14-23 or visit him at various libraries across St. Petersburg from December 16-19. For seniors, a Holly Jolly Jubilee will take place on Wednesday, December 18 at the Sunshine Senior Center.
Outdoor enthusiasts might enjoy Cocoa Night Hike on Friday, December 20 at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve or participate in Gingerbread Habitats at the same location on Saturday, December 21.
