The City of St. Petersburg has announced that the restoration of the northbound lanes on 66th St. N, between Tyrone Blvd. and 26th Ave. N, is expected to be completed before Saturday morning. This comes after a water main break on December 11 led to the temporary closure of all northbound lanes.

City crews have been working continuously to repair the 8-inch water main and restore normal traffic flow in the area. As of now, all southbound lanes of 66th St. N are open for traffic.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes due to ongoing heavy traffic and detours in the affected area.

Residents and commuters are encouraged by the City of St. Petersburg to check social media (@StPeteFL) for real-time updates on the situation. The City expressed gratitude for public patience and cooperation during this period and apologized for any inconvenience caused.
