St. Petersburg opens grant applications for youth summer program initiatives

Applications are now open for the Community Impact Summer Enhancement Grant offered by the City of St. Petersburg. This initiative supports organizations that conduct summer programs moving youth ahead in academic, social, emotional, and civic dimensions. The period for submitting applications extends until May 2, 2025.

St. Petersburg Mayor Kenneth T. Welch emphasized the focus on education and youth opportunities, stating, "With Education and Youth Opportunities as one of our top priorities, summer is a critical time to continue engaging young people and their families."

The Community Impact Summer Enhancement Grant aims to empower organizations facilitating enriching summer experiences for St. Petersburg’s youth. "Providing positive opportunities and unlocking the potential of our young people while fostering their social, emotional, and civic growth is key to their success," Mayor Welch added.

Eligible applicants must demonstrate a track record of engaging underserved or at-risk youth and collaborate with community organizations while offering youth programs or summer initiatives.

Grants can reach up to $35,000, awarded based on evaluations of applications and funding accessibility. In total, $100,000 will be allocated during this funding period.

Interested organizations can find more information and submit applications through the City’s website, www.stpete.org/CISEgrant. The final date for application submissions is May 2, 2025.
