On December 18, 2024, a discharge of approximately 320 gallons of wastewater occurred from a manhole located at the 1400 block of Beach Drive NE. The incident was caused by a blockage in the main line due to grease accumulation. Out of the total discharge, around 220 gallons entered a storm drain that leads to Tampa Bay. The remaining 100 gallons were vacuumed onsite.

The affected area has been sanitized, and appropriate signage has been placed to inform the public.
