From Friday, January 24, at 7 p.m. to Saturday, January 25, at 8 a.m., traffic congestion is expected in Downtown St. Petersburg due to construction activities at 235 3rd St. S. This disruption is linked to the foundation pouring for the 3rd and 3rd Apartments project, involving approximately 400 trucks and related equipment.
While no lane closures are planned, there may be instances of blocked lanes or congestion as trucks move to and from the site. Police officers will be present to manage traffic control during this period. The City of St. Petersburg advises drivers and pedestrians to consider alternate routes to avoid potential delays.
The city has been collaborating with KAST Construction, the contractor responsible for the project, to minimize noise and light pollution that could affect nearby residents and businesses. "The City of St. Petersburg appreciates the public's patience and cooperation," stated a city representative.
