City Of St. Pete Beach issued the following announcement on Oct. 01.
This week crews from St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue with assistance from crews from Eckerd College, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to a vessel taking on water.
Crews took positions on either side of the vessel prevented it from sinking and kept the motor above water.
After pumping the water from the vessel it was escorted to shore.
No injuries were reported. #teamwork #USCG #sectorstpete
