City Of Treasure Island issued the following announcement on Dec. 16.
Shiver me timbers! There's a beach invasion comin'! The ESPN Events Union Home Mortgage Corp. Gasparilla Bowl Beach Invasion invades Treasure Island on Dec. 21.
The UCF Knights and Florida Gators football players, coaches and fans will occupy Treasure Island Beach during the Invasion.
The invasion will include team competitions between players followed by a variety of games and activities along with several food vendors for everyone to enjoy.
