City Of St. Treasure Island issued the following announcement on Aug. 13.
Volunteers are needed who don't mind getting their hands in the sand. The city of Treasure Island's annual sea oat planting event is next Saturday, Aug. 20, beginning at 7:30 AM. on the beaches of Treasure Island.
