CITY OF GULFPORT: City of Gulfport Residential Storm Debris Pickup

Cleanup

City Of Gulfport issued the following announcement on Oct. 06.

City of Gulfport Residential Storm Debris Pickup

Residential storm debris curbside pickup has started, and the city has begun collecting debris from residential homes. We ask residents to please be patient as we work through the city. We ask residents to place tree limbs behind the curb, off the street, and in front of the house. Curbside only. Don't mix in other storm debris or bagged storm debris with the clean vegetation. Vegetation must be placed on the edge of your property line, but do not block meters or stack vegetation against other items like trees or garbage cans.

The City began Monday, Oct. 3, collecting vegetation from the storm from residential homes. You may not see the collection on your street today, but be assured we will get to every debris pickup.

A couple of essential details:

• It will take several weeks to pick up all of the storm debris

• The city will collect debris from all houses and follow regular sanitation routes.

• There is no need to call and report the need for a special sanitation pickup of storm debris.

• Special pickup of non-storm debris is temporarily on hold while we focus on this effort.

No need to call - City crews are working and will eventually get around to all neighborhoods.

For all other questions or information, please contact the City of Gulfport Public Works Department at 727-893-1089.
