Follow Up: No-Name December Storm Debris Pick Up
This week, City of St. Petersburg crews completed the full storm debris sweep on impacted streets from the no-name December storm. Crews will continue to check areas this week to ensure there are no remaining items. By this Friday, January 12, if your storm debris has NOT been picked up, please call 727-893-7398 to schedule a Special Pickup or submit a ticket via SeeClickFix by visiting: www.stpete.org/seeclickfix
REMINDER - WHAT WE'RE PICKING UP
Construction and demolition (C&D) debris
- Fencing Materials - fences knocked over during the storm
- Construction Materials - building materials, carpet, drywall, furniture, lumber, plumbing
- Appliances - air conditioners, dishwashers, washers and dryers, stoves, refrigerators, water heaters
- Electronics - computers, televisions, and other devices
If your debris is placed in the right-of-way, that indicates to the City team that it's ready to be picked up. If it's not ready for pick-up, please keep debris on your private property.
- Place debris in front of the house near the roadway curb.
- DO NOT place debris near trees, poles, fire hydrants, utility boxes, or other structures that make debris removal difficult.
- DO NOT place debris in alleyways or on sidewalks.
- DO NOT place debris in the street or block roadways.
- DO NOT bag material for collection
Vegetative debris from the storm should be taken to one of our five Brush Sites or placed in resident’s trash bin for regularly scheduled pick up. Brush Site locations and hours can be found at www.stpete.org/BrushSites. If it does not fit, please call 727-893-7398 and schedule a Special Pickup.
Chemicals (paint, gasoline, etc.) can be taken to the Pinellas County Household Hazardous Waste Center free of charge. Please call 727-464-7500 or visit their website for hours and directions. https://pinellas.gov/solid-waste-disposal-complex-hours/
DUMPSTERS AT DENVER PARK
The dumpsters that have been placed in Denver Park will be removed first thing Monday, January 15. If you need to place any storm debris in the dumpster, please do so before Monday morning.
