FEMA supports St. Petersburg storm drainage project with grant

The City of St. Petersburg has disclosed that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) plans to fund its Storm Drainage Improvement Project via the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP). The announcement opens a 15-day public comment period starting February 20, 2025.

The project aims to address storm drainage issues within the city, enhancing infrastructure resilience against future weather events. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the feedback process during this time.

"Public comment will be open for 15 days from the date of this notice," stated officials, emphasizing community involvement in the planning stages.
