St. Petersburg Mayor Kenneth T. Welch has announced that he will be hosting the annual State of the City address on January 30, 2024. The event will be held at The Palladium Theater and will begin at 11 a.m. with doors opening at 10:30 a.m.

In an invitation to the community, Mayor Welch expressed his excitement for the upcoming event, stating, "I invite all members of our community to join me at the State of the City address. It is an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate our achievements, as well as look forward to what lies ahead in 2024."

During the address, Mayor Welch will be highlighting the milestone markers that the city has achieved during his second year in office. It will be a time to recognize the progress and growth that St. Petersburg has experienced under his leadership.

For those attending the event, parking options near The Palladium Theater are limited. Mayor Welch recommends utilizing the Museum of the American Arts & Crafts Movement's Parking Garage, located at 350 3rd St. N, for $1 per hour. Another option is the Sundial/MidCore Parking Garage, which has an entrance located at 117 2nd Street North, just three blocks from The Palladium. The cost for parking at this garage is $1 for up to four hours.

The State of the City address is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. To RSVP for the event, visit the website www.stpete.org/sotc2024. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream of the address will be available on the City of St. Petersburg's Facebook Page at Facebook.com/StPeteFL.

As the date for the State of the City address approaches, Mayor Welch is looking forward to connecting with the community and discussing the future of St. Petersburg.
