The City of St. Petersburg has officially launched its Arts and Culture Grant application period, offering funding opportunities for eligible non-profit, arts-focused organizations. The program, which provides three levels of funding ranging from $7,500 to $22,500, is now open for applications until June 13, 2024, at 5 p.m.

Celeste Davis, Director of Arts, Culture and Tourism for the City of St. Petersburg, emphasized the importance of supporting local arts and culture organizations, stating, "Every local arts and culture organization should have the opportunity to thrive in our City of the Arts."

To be eligible for the grant, organizations must meet specific criteria, including being registered as a non-profit organization with the Florida Secretary of State, having a primary mission focused on arts or culture programming, and operating within St. Petersburg for at least one year. Additionally, applicants must have no outstanding debts to the City of St. Petersburg and demonstrate a commitment to serving the local community.

The funding levels are categorized based on the organization's budget size. Level 1 organizations with budgets of $100,000 to $149,999 can receive up to $7,500, while Level 2 organizations with budgets of $150,000 to $499,999 are eligible for up to $15,000. Level 3 organizations with budgets of $500,000 or more can apply for grants of up to $22,500.

Grant-funded activities are expected to take place between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025, contributing to the city's vibrant arts and cultural scene.
