In the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, residents of St. Petersburg have been provided with easier access to insurance services through a Mini Insurance Village. This initiative, set to begin on Friday, October 25 at 10 a.m., will be hosted at the Shore Acres Recreation Center located at 4230 Shore Acres Blvd NE.

The village is organized by Florida's Chief Financial Officer and aims to offer essential support for local policyholders who previously had to travel to Clearwater for similar services. The facility will assist residents in filing claims related to storm damage, with staff available to guide them through the process. Attendees are advised to bring identification, insurance documents, photos or evidence of property damage, repair estimates, and any other pertinent information.

The Mini Insurance Village will operate during the following hours: Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is important for visitors to note that only insurance-related issues will be addressed due to space constraints.

This effort represents significant progress for St. Petersburg residents by providing a more convenient location for accessing necessary insurance aid.
