The city has initiated efforts to support residents affected by Hurricane Helene by deploying local food trucks to distribute free meals. This initiative aims to provide relief to those impacted by flooding and storm damage.

Food will be available until supplies are exhausted. Residents are encouraged to visit the designated locations, enjoy a meal, and take a moment of respite from the challenges posed by the recent weather events.

One of the food trucks, Heavy's, will start serving at 3:30 p.m. at Sunlit Cove Boat Ramp located at 2nd St. NE & Sunlit Cove Dr. NE.

City officials emphasize the importance of community solidarity during these difficult times, urging everyone in St. Pete to "come together, support each other, and stay strong."
