St. Petersburg seeks residents for board and committee vacancies

The City of St. Petersburg is currently seeking residents to fill vacancies on several boards and committees. These positions offer community members the opportunity to participate in local governance and decision-making processes.

The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee focuses on reviewing and evaluating strategies to promote affordable housing while ensuring property values are protected. The Citizen Advisory Committee advises the Community Redevelopment Agency on matters related to the South St. Petersburg Community Redevelopment Plan.

The City Beautiful Commission aims to enhance the city's natural beauty, encouraging active participation from its members in decision-making processes. The Code Enforcement Board conducts hearings regarding city code violations, issuing findings and conclusions for each case.

The Development Review Commission evaluates development proposals for compliance with city regulations, acting as the Land Development Regulation Commission when necessary. The Nuisance Abatement Board addresses properties involved in illegal activities, aiming to reduce crime and improve safety.

The Public Arts Commission works to enhance public exposure to culture through art, improving the aesthetic environment of public facilities. Lastly, the Social Services Allocation Committee promotes residents' well-being by reviewing grant applications and making funding recommendations.
