Last week, Mayor Kenneth T. Welch was joined by City officials, Nicole Berman (Executive Director of St. Pete Pride), and members of the St. Pete Pride board at the Pride Month Flag Raising at City Hall to officially kick off the start of Pride Month season. The month of June will be filled with events and engagement opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community and allies.

Returning for its second year in a row is Letters of Love. In honor of Pride Month, residents and visitors are invited to express love and support for the LGBTQ+ community by spreading kindness and positivity, sharing stories of strength, love, and empowerment. During June, pop-up stations will be set up at local businesses and organizations where visitors can create and leave a letter or take one that speaks to them. More information about Letters of Love and the pop-up locations can be found at stpete.org/LettersOfLove.
