June 27, 2024 – The City of St. Petersburg has launched "St. Pete Votes!," a civic engagement campaign aimed at encouraging residents to register to vote.

In 2022, St. Petersburg voted to transition municipal elections to align with national election years. This year, in addition to elections for President, Congress, the State Legislature, and County Commission, residents will also vote for their members of the St. Pete City Council.

The initiative aims to empower the community by promoting active participation in the democratic process and ensuring that every eligible citizen has the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.

Residents can register online at votepinellas.com or in person at the St. Pete Supervisor of Elections Office located at 501 1st Ave. N or their local library.

Key dates for upcoming elections include:

- Primary Election: July 22 - Deadline to Register; August 10-18 - Early Voting; August 20 - Primary Election Day

- General Election: October 7 - Deadline to Register; October 21 - November 3 - Early Voting; November 5 - Election Day

Neighborhood associations, business districts, and locals are encouraged to help spread the word and encourage community participation. Posters are available at all City Recreation Facilities and Libraries.
