The City of St. Petersburg, Florida, is actively engaged in recovery efforts following the impact of two storms. As part of these efforts, city facilities will remain open for regular business from October 14 to 18, but all City Council and Committee Meetings have been canceled. Additionally, the Supplier Diversity Day scheduled for October 15 has also been called off.
For residents needing to file permits for home repairs due to storm damage, Remote Permitting Sites will be operational starting Wednesday, October 16. These sites aim to expedite the permitting process and will be available at Azalea Recreation Center, Enoch D. Davis Center, and Roberts Recreation Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., accepting only debit or credit card payments.
A boil water notice affecting St. Petersburg, South Pasadena, and Lealman was lifted on Monday morning, October 14.
Comfort and Charging Stations are set up at the same recreation centers to offer air conditioning and device charging as power restoration continues across St. Petersburg.
The Multiagency Resource Center (MARC) is opening with expanded services at the Enoch D. Davis Center on Monday afternoon from 1-7 p.m., and then from Tuesday onwards between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Various agencies including FEMA will provide disaster recovery assistance at this location.
Residents are encouraged to bring necessary documentation when visiting MARC for assistance applications. Registration for FEMA aid can also be done online or by phone.
Residential debris collection has resumed with instructions for residents to separate debris into piles without using trash bags. The Hometown Recovery Hauler Program involves local haulers in clearing storm debris efficiently while supporting small businesses.
City brush sites are open daily for vegetative debris disposal by residents while commercial entities are directed to use the Temporary Debris Management site until further notice.
